Everything you need to know.
The full list, from pricing and margin to setup, data, and handling customer queries.
Pricing and margin
No. You set a reserve price per product with Classic, or per cart with Cart, before anything goes live. Bidit never accepts below it. You open the door to your price or better, not to any price.
Bidit declines it politely and automatically. The customer can try again or keep shopping. You never see or handle low offers manually.
Yes. Set a threshold, and if an offer is close but not quite there, Bidit sends a price back automatically, in seconds, with no manual work from you.
Only on the products and carts you enable, and only within the rules you set. Think of it as giving one customer a private path to yes. Your pricing stays as it is for everyone else.
Your minimum price controls it. You set the minimum margin you are comfortable with per product, and every accepted offer is one you pre-agreed to.
Not if your minimums are set correctly. Your minimum is the safety net, and our Merchant Success team helps you set prices that protect margin.
Yes. Every product can have its own minimum. A high-margin line and a clearance item can be completely different.
Yes. Enable or disable Classic per product any time, and switch Cart on or off whenever you need.
Yes. Bidit runs independently of your promotions. Just make sure your minimums account for any existing promotion on a product.
Our Merchant Success team monitors this with you. If offers come in but nothing is accepted, your minimum is likely above what customers will pay, and we help you adjust.
Brand image
No. There is no advertised discount, no banner, no code to share. One customer, one private offer, one outcome. Your listed prices stay exactly as they are.
Bidit only appears on the products or carts you activate. You control the wording, the eligible products, and the experience. Customers see it as a feature of that purchase, not a permanent expectation.
Technically yes, as with sale events, loyalty discounts, or any offline deal. Bidit is private by design, with no public record of what anyone paid. The same is true from real estate to airlines.
Done well, the opposite. A private way to engage on price signals that you value a customer individually. The framing matters.
Yes. Prompts are styled and worded to match your brand. On Shopify you configure it yourself; on other platforms our team helps set it up.
Nothing in the experience encourages it. The offer is private, with no shareable confirmation and no public record. Like any private transaction, it stays between you and them.
The offer process
Two offers per session. If the first meets your minimum the sale goes through; if it is close, Bidit sends a price back. If not, they get a second attempt. If both miss, they can return the next day. It keeps things fair and stops endless low offers.
They get a polite, on-brand response and their second attempt. If both miss, they are welcome to try again the next day, which keeps them with you rather than a competitor.
Both count as their two offers for the session. If both are below your minimum, Bidit declines and invites them back the next day. No looping the same offer.
You do not review them in real time; Bidit evaluates automatically on your rules. You get full data on every offer in your reporting.
When an offer is close to your minimum, Bidit can send back a price between their offer and your minimum. You set the threshold and the price. They accept or decline, and it happens in seconds.
Typically 48 hours. The customer can return within that window and pick up at the price offered. After that it lapses.
Yes. As well as accept and price-back, you can set a voucher, a try-again timer, or a custom prompt, for example come in-store for a free appraisal, matched to how close the offer was.
Setup and how it works
On Shopify, most merchants are live within a day, and install takes under an hour. On WooCommerce, Wix, or other platforms, our team sets it up with you, usually within a few days.
On Shopify, no, it installs from the App Store. On other platforms you will not need a developer, but our team handles the integration with you.
On a product page, a simple Make an offer button above add-to-cart. In the cart, a prompt to make an offer on the full cart before checkout. Both feel native, not a pop-up.
No. If there is any issue the prompt simply does not appear, and your store runs normally at full price. Downtime on our side is invisible to your customers.
Handle it through your normal order management. Bidit does not create a separate order system; the sale lives in your store like any other.
It is treated like any abandoned cart, and the offer data is still recorded. If it happens often, it may point to checkout friction rather than Bidit.
Bidit Classic
A Make an offer button on your product pages. A customer names what they would pay instead of leaving. If it meets your minimum the sale goes through, if close Bidit sends a price back, if too low it declines politely, all on the product page.
Yes, and most merchants start that way. It works best on higher-consideration items, end-of-line stock, or anything where price is the main blocker.
Recommended. Start with one product or a small selection, see how it performs, then expand. Our team helps pick the best starting point from your data.
Above your normal add-to-cart button, so customers always have both options. You style and word it to match your store.
Bidit Cart
It activates inside the cart, after items are added but before checkout, letting a committed buyer make an offer on the full cart total. Your rules decide the outcome, and checkout is unchanged.
You set the minimum cart value before the prompt appears, so smaller orders do not see it.
No. It sits on the cart page before checkout. Ignore it and the customer proceeds exactly as normal.
Exactly like any other order under your existing policy. The refund is for the agreed price, which is standard for any agreed sale.
Running both products
Classic works on a product page for a single item. Cart works in the cart for the whole basket. Two moments in the journey. Run one or both.
If browsers are not converting, start with Classic. If cart abandonment or basket size is the issue, start with Cart. Unsure? We will look at your data.
Yes, and many do. Classic catches hesitation on the product; Cart catches it before the final commitment.
Yes. They operate independently, so a customer can make an offer on an item and then on their full cart. Your rules for each apply throughout.
Data and reporting
Full visibility on every offer: what was offered, on which product or cart, the outcome, and the final price. Over time, a clear picture of what customers will actually pay.
Quickly. You get regular data on offers received, offers accepted, prices sent back, and the revenue generated, so you can see what is working and where to adjust.
Conversion uplift with versus without Bidit, offer conversion rate, margin management, and customer engagement.
Yes. Bidit runs on secure infrastructure, handles data per privacy regulations, and does not share your customer data with third parties.
Bidit does not handle payments. Accepted offers complete through your normal checkout, and Bidit never sits between the customer and their payment details.
Yes. Private offer mechanics are an established, legal commercial practice, and Bidit is built to comply. For specific legal questions, seek your own advice.
Getting started and fees
No lock-in and no minimum term. You agree to standard terms up front, and you can cancel any time. Bidit is not a SaaS model.
Performance-based. You only pay when Bidit makes you a sale. No Bidit sales, no fees.
Talk to our team for the full picture. Our core model charges on completed Bidit transactions.
Monthly, within 7 days of your reporting for the period. Terms are 14 days, in AUD, exclusive of GST unless stated.
Bank transfer or credit card. Card payments carry a small surcharge shown at payment.
Bidit can vary it on 30 days written notice. If a change does not suit you, you can terminate under the standard clause. No surprise pricing.
Each store has its own agreement, so configuration, fees, and reporting stay store-specific.
Every merchant gets our Merchant Success team, real people for setup, pricing strategy, and getting the most from both products.
Technical and security
Self-serve on Shopify, installed from the App Store in under an hour. With our team's help on WooCommerce, Wix, and other major platforms.
The prompt simply does not appear, and your store runs normally at full price. Any downtime on our side is invisible to customers.
For any incident, whether a bug, outage, or security event, we notify you within 24 hours. Your store keeps running normally in the meantime.
Offer activity only: what was offered, on which product, and the outcome. We do not use it beyond providing the service or share it, and we follow the Australian Privacy Act.
Handling customer queries
Treat it as a normal fulfilment query. The accepted offer becomes a standard order once checkout completes, so look it up and respond as usual.
Your standard returns policy applies. The refund is for the price paid, the agreed price, and Consumer Law guarantees still apply.
Rules are set by you in advance and checked privately, so there is nothing personal in a decline. A friendly note and an invitation to return is usually all it takes.
By design. Accepted prices are private and unique to each offer, and there is no public price. The same is true across many industries.
Check Bidit is enabled for that product, and that they are on the live, not cached, page. Still missing? Contact Bidit support.
Let us know straight away with the order ID and a screenshot. Bidit is built so this cannot happen, so we investigate immediately.
You. Bidit handles the offer; the sale is between you and the customer. You are the seller of record and process payment through your own checkout.
